FILTEC Thread insert is a new type of fastener with internal thread. It can be embedded into metal or non-metal materials to form a high strength, wear resistant, interchangeable standard internal thread. It can also be used to repair worn or damaged internal thread holes. The threaded insert is a spiral coil precisely shaped with rhomboid wire, a concentric body of internal and external threads with a mounting handle bent radially at one end. In the free state, the diameter of the thread sheath is slightly larger than the internal thread it is loaded into. During the assembly process, the installation tool is added to the torque of the mounting handle to make the diameter of the guide ring shrink elastic, so as to enter the internal thread hole with the special thread sheath tapping in advance. After installation, the thread sheath produces an expansion similar to the spring, so that it is firmly fixed in the internal screw hole. The threaded sheath thus forms a high precision internal thread that meets international standards. Uneven stress distribution between bolts and screw holes causes pitch and Angle errors, which can be balanced by the elasticity of the threaded sheath, all of which are able to share the load. According to its function, the thread sheath can be divided into ordinary type and locking type. In addition to all the functions of the ordinary type, the locking type thread sheath also has the thread locking ability, which relies on the elastic force of its polygon locking to brake the bolt.
Different from the 321 steel (1Cr18Ni9Ti) and 304 steel (0Cr18Ni9) used in similar domestic products, our products are made of 301 steel (x10CrNi18-8), a high-alloy steel with low carbon content. Low carbon content can improve the resistance of stainless steel to intercrystal corrosion. At the same time, the content of Cr is strictly controlled from the Angle of environmental protection. Due to the strong affinity between Ti and N, it will affect the strength of stainless steel, so the Ti element is removed.
